Rikuto Ohashi arrived in London as a League Cup Champion—and left as a World Champion thanks to masterful use of his Ice Rider Palkia deck and the ice that runs in his veins in the face of adversity. This deck’s power lies in its use of Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR’s devastating Subspace Swell attack, in conjunction with Choice Belt and a packed Bench to deliver up to 290 damage per attack and one-shot almost any Pokémon in battle. Senior Finalist Sebastian Lashmet celebrated his first World Championships by taking his slick, single-minded Cheryl Again deck all the way to the finals.
